Anyone who spots a fir-green tractor on Rügen knows straight away: that’s Agrarservice Rügen. Since Anton Reetz founded the contractor in 2014, he has established a clear identity. Every machine is painted the same colour: fir green.

The uniform design began in 2017 with a Fendt 720 Vario in the Fendt Design Line, featuring a fir-green paint finish and chrome trim. Today, the fleet comprises 15 Fendt machines, all fully equipped and in fir green. These are complemented by lorry semi-trailers, trailers, wheel loaders and slurry tankers in the same shade. Even the Fendt 4180 V round baler has been painted fir green – a truly one-of-a-kind machine. And the concept is evident in the smaller details too: for every Fendt machine, Anton Reetz has received a matching model in fir green. “The colour has already become a hallmark of Agrarservice Rügen,” reports the contractor, who operates on Rügen and along the coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Large machines, precise operation

Over the last few years, their fleet has included three generations of the Fendt 900 Vario series. Today, they are using the seventh generation, featuring the FendtONE driver's workstation. Anton Reetz utilises functions such as Section Control and Variable Rate Control in combination with the Trimble RTK correction signal. This ensures the tractor operates on the correct track. Overlaps and missed areas are reduced. Fertiliser or slurry is applied exactly where it is needed. “As well as precise slurry application, we also offer site-specific sowing – that’s what our customers expect,” he says. “With FendtONE, operation has become simpler and more intuitive. That makes our day-to-day work easier.”

When the weather calls, reliability counts

In farming, and on an island, work is dictated by the weather: when conditions are right, all the customers get in touch at once. For a contractor offering slurry application, sowing, fertilisation, chopping, transport, forage harvesting and straw baling, it’s always peak season. The 20 employees spend long days on the machinery. “That means the machines have to work reliably,” says Anton Reetz. “Fendt delivers exactly that: reliability and a high level of comfort for the drivers. When working days get long, both are crucial for satisfied customers and a satisfied team.” Should a technical problem ever arise, Raiffeisen Technik Nord-Ost, as the sales and service partner, is quickly on hand. At 10 km, the distance is short.
