A wide range of tasks, one solution

The demands placed on modern crop protection technology are constantly increasing. Different crops, narrow planting windows and increasing demands for efficiency and precision call for high-performance and flexible solutions. For the Blunk Group in Rendswühren, this is part of their day-to-day business. The farm relies on the Fendt Rogator for its approximately 1,400 hectares of owned and contract land, as well as for crop protection work for external clients.

The team looks after almost the entire range of crops grown in northern Germany, from rapeseed, wheat and barley to maize and sugar beet. As well as planning and carrying out all plant protection measures, there is one key priority: maximum effectiveness combined with a high standard of work.

Flexibility for a wide range of operating conditions

Three years ago, we had to decide on a new self-propelled sprayer. They were looking for a machine that could adapt flexibly to the diverse requirements of the business and its customers.

“The Rogator has since slotted perfectly into our operational workflow,” says Justus Kursawe.

It is particularly in maize cultivation that the machine’s technical capabilities really come into their own. Thanks to the steplessly adjustable telescopic axle, the Rogator can be flexibly adapted to different row spacings. This allows for precise navigation through both 75-cm rows and tramline systems in denser crops without causing unnecessary damage to the plants. The chassis’s lift function offers additional benefits. It allows for application even in stands of maize with a higher height, thereby opening up additional opportunities for late-season crop protection or fertiliser applications.

A machine designed to meet a wide range of customer requirements

In contracting work and when managing contract areas, varying plot sizes and working widths are the norm. This is precisely where the Rogator demonstrates its versatility. With working widths ranging from 18 to 36 metres, the machine can be flexibly adapted to the specific requirements. This enables the Blunk Group to cater for a wide variety of customer profiles whilst optimising machine utilisation, whether the crop in question is sugar beet, maize or cereals.

“We can decide on a case-by-case basis which working width to use and adapt accordingly to meet the requirements.”

Comfort for long working days

As well as performance and precision, driver comfort also plays a crucial role. It is particularly during periods of intensive operation that operators spend many hours a day in the machine. The spacious cab of the Fendt Rogator particularly impresses operators with its excellent all-round visibility and high level of driving comfort. A hydrostat drive, comfortable air conditioning and ergonomic controls help you to stay focused and work efficiently, even on days of long working hours.

Higher performance thanks to shorter downtime

Another key factor in crop protection is logistics. Every stoppage costs valuable operational time. The Rogator’s high-performance injection lock enables quick and convenient filling directly in the field. Both fluid plant protection products and granulated micronutrients can be incorporated efficiently. This reduces downtime and significantly increases the available spraying time. Particularly when dealing with customer orders from further afield, the option of being able to attach a water tanker also proves its worth. This enables the company to carry out many operations independently and remain unaffected by central refuelling stations.

Stay safe on the road, whatever the terrain

Even in challenging conditions, the Rogator supports the operator. The independently controllable rear axle allows for precise correction on slopes. This ensures that the machine stays safely within the track and operates with precision, even on difficult terrain.

Reliable technology for professional users

The Blunk Group has relied on Fendt machines for many years. The key factors here are reliability, performance and the assurance that the technology can be relied upon, even during busy periods.

“Every year, we face major challenges with a length of working days and tight timeframes. “With the Fendt Rogator, we have a machine that delivers reliable performance and fits seamlessly with our requirements,” Justus Kursawe is certain.

For the Blunk Group, the Fendt Rogator is therefore far more than just a self-propelled sprayer. It is a key component for efficient crop protection, high effectiveness and cost-effective operations in modern arable farming.
