Even those that do not need this flow volume (193 l/min) can also profit, because the engine needs less speed to deliver high volumes of oil during hydraulic work.

top agrar (12/2015)

With an unladen weight of 7.8 t, an impressive 6.2 t payload remains – that is more than 1 t more than the average

profi (4/2016)

The 700 Vario can also refute the argument that stepless drives have poor efficiency: For (…) 121 kW maximum tractive power, the Vario consumes (…) 262 g/kWh less than some tractors with manual transmissions.

profi (4/2016)

And as light-footed as the 700 Vario is on the road, it is just as economical. With 537 g/kWh at 40 km/h and 540 g/kWh at 50 km/h, fuel consumption during transport is also a good 8 and 6% below the average of all previously measured tractors – there is nothing more to add!

Super performance – lowest consumption. Perfect!

Fendt 724 Vario with FendtONE: Completely new operation with endless possibilities

The curvy cab 700 series has now been on the market for 10 years. Yet, even though it's barely noticeable from the outside, the new FendtONE control system marks the beginning of an exciting era in tractor operation.

The Professional Farm Machinery Magazine profi reviewed the FendtONE system on a Fendt 724, shown in the January 2022 edition of the UK version of the magazine.

The 724 is simply superb

profi (1/2022)

Even though most 700 series users probably haven’t got a lot to complain about when it comes to operating their trusty steed, FendtONE is the next and logical forward step. The combination of on-board and off-board controls will become more important in the future. And, admittedly, after 100 hours in the seat you not only get used to the new way of driving the tractor, but, when you swap to a different machine, you're likely to miss many of the functions and features. One example is Fendt's new linkage control, as previously mentioned, with its two memories and infinite position control.

Operating the Fendt 700 Vario Power is straightforward and easy using the fully integrated Variocentre.

The press writes.

top agrar (11/2015)

The operating interface offers very many options, especially in the tested ProfiPlus equipment variant – despite this, we found most functions to be straightforward.

The press writes.

profi international (1/2015)

However, users love the Vario box for its versatility. And it's the same story for the controls - the multifunction joystick and large colour touch screen mean all the tractor's clever tricks are easy to find, so they get used on a daily basis. Add the big, airy cabin into the mix and it's no surprise that drivers are very happy to spend over 2.000 hours a year on the 724.

The press writes.

top agrar (12/2015)

We liked the front hydraulics and all of the equipment of the newly designed, optional double-acting rear power lift (great: lift struts can be quickly shortened by 10 cm for drawbars in the bottom hitch). With a nearly 9-t lift capacity and 85 cm travel, no wishes remain open.

Mounting areas: Full function for front and rear

Fendt promises.

Powerful hydraulics facilitate and expand the areas of application for maximum efficiency and the best productivity.

With a delivery capacity of 193 litres per minute, the load-sensing pump on the Fendt 700 Vario truly provides a high volume capacity for the hydraulic system. These pumps for the Profi and ProfiPlus variants have an easy time with the most demanding implement operations.

The press writes.

profi (4/2016)

In the lowest position, the 720 Vario already lifts 7.4 t and at the top over 9.5 t. (…) together with a more than 85 cm travel and the linkage geometry, no wishes go unfulfilled.

The press writes.

profi (4/2016)

In addition to the standard-equipped 152 l/min axial piston pump, there is now a pump with 193 l/min for the hydraulics (…). The DLG measured 194.4 l/min and 51.8 kW of usable hydraulic power. In addition to the 64 l of available oil, another top value in this class.

The press writes.

profi (4/2016)

Especially because the reliable lateral stabilisers, which feature easy conversion from Cat. II/III and can be hung up out of the way, still remain unparalleled.

The press writes.

The load relief control for the front linkage is a particular advantage when operating a snow plough or a front mower in grassland operations, since implement guidance can be quickly adjusted to uneven surfaces.

The press writes.

traction (01/02 2016)

The optional front linkage is not only double-acting, it also has active load relief control as well as position control with precise height adjustment.

Rear mounting area for many implements

Fendt promises.

No matter which PTO implement you are using, on the Fendt 700 Vario you can demand power exactly when it is needed.

The press writes.

profi (4/2016)

The 700er can now deliver a continual 160 hp over the (more stable) front PTO and is also fully equipped with four PTO speeds at the rear: 540, 540E, 1000 and 1000E.

The press writes.

Macchine Agricole (7-8/2015)

The automatic PTO start-up is also worth mentioning. The power transfer at the PTO is adjusted to the needs of the implement, e.g. for implements with very high power requirement when switching on [square baler].

Fast transport and high payload

Fendt promises.

Every litre counts. The Fendt 700 Vario is equipped with the SCR exhaust technology and is especially fuel-efficient and complies with the emissions standard EURO Stage 4 / Tier 4 final.

The press writes.

profi (4/2016)

The braking rate of 5 m/s² is outstanding - just like the modulation of the new pneumatic braking system!

traction (01/02 2016)

We performed the transport PowerMix at the DLG for the first time with our test candidate and the data speaks for the tractor from the Allgäu: With 498 g/kWh, the 724 Vario is clearly at the top of its power class in terms of fuel economy.

The press writes.

traction (01/02 2016)

The 724 Vario was excellent in transport – with a 48 m³ Dolly semi-trailer, it consumed a good 1.5 to 2.0 l/h less than other modern tractors in the harvesting chain.

The press writes.

traction (01/02 2016)

Furthermore, the tractor, with an unladen weight of barely 8 t, requires less diesel for propelling itself. Here the lightweight design clearly pays off.

The press writes.

top agrar (12/2015)

In our round of tests, the Fendt was the best in terms of the overall consumption of diesel and AdBlue (DEF). In the 50 km/h version, it consumed 52.5 litres per 100 kilometres, at 40 km/h it was 2.3 litres lower.
