Stopover on the Isle of Beauty!

Located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, this expanse of rock, merging land with sea, makes you feel humble. Its nickname The Isle of Beauty is well-deserved, with its splendid mountain scenery, fine sandy beaches and crystal-clear water, not to mention the wealth of contrasting colours radiating from the perennial sunshine. Corsica is undoubtedly one of those places where installing long-term projects can become overwhelming.

Workers in the shade

For all its clichés and picturesque landscapes, Corsica remains no less a fully-fledged agricultural land. With its livestock, culture and vineyards, the island's farmers are not alone in resorting to the use of agricultural equipment to complete their work. In fact, during the peak tourist season, a number of coastal towns regularly bring out the same fleet of tractors onto its fine sandy beaches, with the task of cleaning and levelling off the beaches to give holiday-makers the ultimate sense of an idyllic stay, especially for the early risers arriving to discover a pristine and unspoilt sandy beach... For the Ajaccio beaches and many other public surroundings, this early-morning work is done by Fendt tractors equipped with sand sieves with a screed at each end adding the final touches.

Fendt Benvenuti in Corsica

After only a very modest representation a few years ago, Fendt is now the king of the road on the Isle of Beauty thanks to its recent appointment by Loca+. With its business in agricultural equipment, public construction, green spaces and engine rental, ranging from the mini excavator to 40-m crane trucks, this young and dynamic company is enjoying plenty of successful conquests with its Fendt equipment. They are not the first to be associated with the word "conquest" here (don't forget that Ajaccio is where Napoleon Bonaparte grew up),

But it is worth noting that Dominique Marcelli, Director of Loca+ laid a solid cornerstone for its partnership with Fendt when, with its first sale of a Vario 939 to a public construction company, the Fendt tractor became the most powerful tractor on the island.

The Fendt Vario continuously variable transmission and an adaptable tyre pressure are essential for working in fine sand.

As the head of the company he single-handedly founded, Dominique Marcelli says he was looking for a strong partner that shared the same vision for his business: "For me, human exchange and relations are essential values that score more highly than other factors. With Fendt, I found attentive people who support my projects with a truly constructive approach without imposing their opinions on me". He goes on, "we use the same approach with our own clients, so I think it vital that the farmers of the island, customers of ours, can benefit from an attentive ear on the scale of my main tractor supplier".

With more than a dozen sales under its belt, Loca+ is gaining the interest of the island's customers who want high-performance, reliable equipment offering advanced solutions.
